Photography by artificial Intelligence:

50-minute group session facilitated by Greg Hughson

DUNEDIN COMMUNITY GALLERY
Saturday 16th September
10am and 1pm
Sunday 17th September
11 am and 2pm

Together we’ll drive Midjourney computer software to generate art photographs from any key words you want to kick-start it with. Let’s play to create a group image. Then let’s decide – is this cheating? the end of photography? or the start of a new creative adventure?

Free scheduled workshops are drop in. School art classes and community group bookings are available during the week days by appointment. Please email photography@oursight.co.nz to book.

What makes that one a stunner?

50-minute group session facilitated by Henrik Moller

DUNEDIN COMMUNITY GALLERY
Saturday 16th September
11am and 2pm
Sunday 17th September
10 am and 4pm

You will do a virtual experiment using 1000minds software to discover what you think makes an excellent art photograph. Does the aesthetic and emotional apeal of the image matter most to you?  Or is its subject the key?  Does the novelty of the image matter much? And how will you trade-off those features with the technical excellence of the photograph (focus, composition, depth of field)?

School art classes and community group bookings are welcome to do the workshop during the week days by appointment. Please email photography@oursight.co.nz to book.  Otherwise just come to the gallery in the weekend to join the pre-scheduled sessions.

Do you see what I see?

30-minute street excursion followed by a 30-minute group session facilitated by Noelle Bennett

DUNEDIN COMMUNITY GALLERY
Saturday 16th September
11:30am and 2:30pm
Sunday 17th September

Have you ever wondered whether we all see things in the same way? If you have - or if we’ve now set you wondering - how about joining us on a photographic street excursion with a twist and let’s find out just how differently we each see our world.

Just bring your cellphone or digital camera plus lots of curiosity and enthusiam!

School art classes and community group bookings are welcome to do the workshop during the week days by appointment. Please email photography@oursight.co.nz to book.  Otherwise just come to the gallery in the weekend to join the pre-scheduled sessions.

The Affinity Photo toolkit

15-minute teaching sessions facilitated by Franky Malone & Janice Brockett

DUNEDIN COMMUNITY GALLERY

12th - 20th September
A new session starts every quarter hour between 10am till 5:45pm daily

The creative fun is just starting by the time you have snapped a photograph on your phone and camera!  We will teach individuals or small groups how to do basic tweaks to photographs like cropping, straightening, sharpening or blurring bits, removing objects, recolouring, brightening ... whatever you can imagine, the software can probably do it.

Bring a digital image file on a memory stick, or email photography@oursight.co.nz if you want us to show you the tools in action on your own image.

A Distorted World - the magic of Affinity!
