'True rule-breakers challenge the myth of the lone creative genius'

In her book, Brief Lessons In Rule Breaking (2019), Frances Ambler said, 'True rule-breakers challenge the myth of the lone creative genius.' She suggests that 'asking for help is sometimes essential' and advises, 'Don’t try to stand alone – reach out to others. Collaborate.' Truly wise words. The OurSight photographers certainly followed this advice, making Boundless very much a team effort.

We would like to express our gratitude to, and celebrate the skills of, the following people who played such an integral part in helping us to bring the Boundless project to fruition. What we have managed to achieve would not have been possible without them.

Robert van der Vyver and Manson Wright - co-creators of the OurSight film which gives such a great insight into not only who we all are but also what makes us tick!

Hope Wilson (Uare Taoka o Hākena) and Pam McKinlay (Otago Polytechnic) - for their peer review and for improving our grant applications.

Tim, Amanda and Merlin at The Photo Gallery, Dunedin - for all their advice, skill, patience and professionalism with all our printing and display needs and, of course, their sponsorship. They have produced the most wonderful work for us.

Siobhan Dillon and Blair Hughson from Core Development - for co-creation and sponsorship of our fabulous website. It was a much bigger endeavour than we had ever imagined!

Amy Scott - for her inspiration, her continuing belief in us and all her support, including her generous sponsorship and her willingness to open the Exhibition for us.

Lisa Shaw from Three Edge Framing and Gallery, Sydney - for her professional peer review and guidance on curation, pricing and image selections.

Dunedin Photographic Society (DPS) - for creating the Affinity Focus Group - known here as OurSight - as well as for their ongoing support.
